Product Description

The Martin® Retractable Nozzle is designed for hard-to-reach locations in cement towers and other high-temperature applications. It allows for cleaning at the center of the wall and is serviceable from outside the tower or vessel, eliminating the need to wait for scheduled outages for nozzle assembly replacement.

Installation Instructions
  1. Cut a 6 in. (150 mm) hole in the vessel wall.
  2. Core drill a 6 in. (150 mm) hole through the refractory.
  3. Weld the supplied flange to the vessel wall.
  4. Install the retractable nozzle assembly onto the flange using cap screws and compression washers.
  5. Plumb the air cylinder according to drawing S50098.
Nozzle Replacement Procedure
  1. Turn off and lock out/tag out the energy source as per local requirements.
  2. Remove cap screws, washers, and nuts (A).
  3. Lower the air cylinder and remove pin (B).
  4. Remove and replace the nozzle.
  5. Reinstall pin (B) and air cylinder.
  6. Reinstall cap screws, washers, and nuts (A).

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET Martin® Retractable Nozzle The Martin® Retractable Nozzle is used for hard to reach locations in cement towers and other high-temp applications. The 360 degree nozzle makes cleaning on the center of the wall possible. Servicable from the outside of the tower/vessel, so no waiting until the next scheduled outage for nozzle assembly replacement.
