MARCHESINI GROUP The Marchesini Group designs and builds stand-alone machines and customised lines for packaging pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Since Massimo Marchesini assembled his first cartoning machine in a garage back in 1974, from a local business, the Group has turned into a “compact” multinational enterprise, thanks to mergers and acquisitions of complementary companies. In 1976, the newly-founded Company launched the first intermittent-motion cartoner. To meet the growing demands of the pharmaceutical market, which has started to request increasingly fast packaging lines, Marchesini, in 1984 Marchesini presented its first continuous-motion cartoner with a unique design and technical features never seen before, like oil bath motors and innovative fairings to enhance reliability and safety.
