ROUND INSERT SYSTEM Sustainability, protability and efficiency are key words of today’s production. Expensive cutting materials such as PcBN have to be fully used and the processes should not lose safety and stability. The new MAPAL System for hard-turning with indexable PcBN round inserts has the advantage that the inserts can be used fully and that the handling is easy. Indexable Round Insert System The standard program consists of spindles with different screenings. The selection between different spindles for roughing as well as nishing operations (stock) and inserts for the combination of longitudinal turning and facing always results in an optimum spindle system.
