CATIONIC RESIN COLUMN CR-600 DESCRIPTION The function of the columns of cationic resin is the removal of cations exchange in a sample mainly from some compound dosing. The most commonly removed cations are NH4 + from the amine dosage. In this exchange mechanism, these cations that need to be removed are exchanged for H + ions, which pass from the active sites of the resin to the sample. The columns have a bed depth sufficient to ensure adequate residence time which allows a high efficiency of the process. Also including suitable retention filters incorporated in both the bottom and top of the column, its purpose is to retain the resin in the column allowing passage of the sample and not affecting in any way the exchange process. To regenerate the resins, the exchange process must be inverted, which is achieved by washing them with concentrated HCl 5% APPLICATIONS • Steam & Water Analysis Systems. • Grab sampling systems. FEATURES • No PVC used. • Clear polycarbonate tubes. • Screw caps on both sides to facilitate filling and emptying. • Response time 4 to 5 minutes (for a flow rate of 200 cc / min). • Saturation indicator by color change. • Regeneration with 5% HCl.
