NADIR® UH004 P is an ultrafiltration membrane with a nominal molecular weight cut-off of 4,000 Daltons. It is made from hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) and is designed for high rejection of solids. This membrane is suitable for various applications including food, dairy, process separations, and water purification. It is available in dry flat sheet rolls and complies with FDA standards.
The membrane features a permeability of ≥ 7.0 LMH/bar (≥ 0.3 GFD/psi) under test conditions of clean water at 4 bar (58 psi) and 20°C (68°F) with crossflow operation. It has a thickness of 210 µm and operates within a pH range of 0.0 to 14.0. The membrane can tolerate chlorine up to 200 ppm for sanitization at pH ≥ 10.5.
- Standard Sizes: Available in A4 sample size (210 mm x 297 mm) and nominal roll size (150 m x 1016 mm). Custom lengths may be available upon request.
- Initial Flush: It is recommended to flush the membrane for 30 minutes and discard the permeate before operation.
- Storage: Store the dry membrane away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Refer to the Membrane Storage Guide (TSG-O-011) for more details.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATION – NADIR® UH004 P Ultrafiltration Membrane With a nominal molecular weight cut-off (M.W.C.O.) of 4,000 Daltons, NADIR® UH004 flat sheet is a hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with high rejection of solids. UH004 flat sheet membrane can be configured in a wide variety of element designs for food, dairy and process separations as well as water purification. UH004 membrane sheet is available in dry flat sheet rolls and is FDA compliant. Custom lengths may be available on request. Initial Flush: MANN+HUMMEL Water & Fluid Solutions recommends flushing membrane for 30 minutes and discarding permeate during the flush prior to operation.
