PTFE Pressure Relief Valves

Product catalog summary
Overview
The document provides technical specifications and applications for the Malema Flow Sensors' PTFE Pressure Relief Valves, specifically the M-VF-T Series. These valves are designed to relieve system pressure at a preset cracking pressure, ensuring safety and reliability in semiconductor equipment applications.

Features
  • High reliability and factory set for consistent performance.
  • Low pressure drop and all mechanical design.
  • Right-angle flow with flare type connection.
  • Bubble tight seal for effective pressure relief.

Applications
The valves are particularly suited for special semiconductor equipment relief valve applications, utilizing PTFE (Fluoraloy T with PFA fittings) and 1/4” flare fittings.

Specifications
  • Cracking Pressure: Adjustable between 20 - 90 psi with bubble tight shut off. Lower settings available upon consultation.
  • Set Point Accuracy: ±2% maximum.
  • Repeatability: ±1%.
  • Material Versions: Includes PTFE, PFA, and other materials for wetted parts.
  • Port Sizes: 1/4” flare fittings.
  • Maximum Pressure: 200 psi.
  • Maximum Temperature: 220°F (104°C).

Operation
The valve operates by allowing fluid (liquid or gas) to enter. When the pressure across the piston exceeds the cracking pressure, the piston moves towards the outlet port, opening the valve and relieving pressure.

Installation and Ordering Information
The valve can be mounted in any orientation. Detailed dimensional drawings and ordering information are provided for customization and installation.

Flow Range Table
The document includes a flow range table with options for different materials and configurations, such as Kalrez® and Viton® seals, which are registered trademarks of DuPont.
