This document provides technical information on the M-VF Series valves, including operating principles, material versions, calibration ranges, port sizes, applications, installation, maintenance, dimensional drawings, and ordering information. The document also lists corporate contact details for headquarters in Boca Raton (FL), Santa Clara (CA), and Singapore.
The M-VF Series valves operate based on a piston mechanism with precise flow control capabilities. The valves are designed to maintain consistent flow rates and pressure regulation in various industrial applications.
These materials ensure durability and compatibility with different fluids and environmental conditions.
The valves are calibrated for both air and water flow, with a typical accuracy of ±3%. Specific flow ranges depend on the port size and material.
| Port Size (FNPT) | Flow Range (Air, SCFM) | Flow Range (Water, GPM) |
|---|---|---|
| NObU | 0.0177 - 5 | 0.00264 - 0.8 |
| NOQU | 0.12 - 35 | 0.0264 - 3.5 |
| ^ObU | 3 - 60 | 0.1 - 4 |
| NO_U | 5 - 75 | 0.5 - 10 |
| ^OQU | 15 - 130 | 1.0 - 20 |
Port sizes correspond to different flow capacities, allowing selection based on application requirements.
The valves are suitable for various industrial environments requiring precise flow regulation.
Installation guidelines emphasize proper alignment and secure mounting to ensure optimal valve performance. Flow rate adjustment is achieved through calibrated piston settings, allowing fine-tuning within specified ranges.
Regular maintenance includes inspection of seals and piston components. Replacement of O-rings and seals is recommended based on wear, with options for Viton®, Kalrez®, Silicone, and Nitrile materials to suit different chemical compatibilities.
Detailed dimensional data is provided for all port sizes, including measurements in millimeters and inches. This facilitates integration into existing piping systems and ensures compatibility with standard fittings.
Ordering codes specify model, material, port size, piston seal type, and optional features such as intrinsic reset and seal materials. Key options include:
Customers can customize valves to meet specific application needs.
These parameters define the operational limits and safety margins for the valves.

Open the catalog to page 2Installation and Flow Rate Adjustment Safety Excess Flow Valves 1. The preferred mounting orientation for the valve is in the horizontal position, although it can be mounted vertically. 2. Turn the adjusting screw fully counter-clockwise. 3. Connect hose or piping to outlet and operate at maximum flow rate (liquid or gas). 4. Turn the adjusting screw clockwise until the valve actuates and shuts off the flow. 5. Turn the flow off. The valve will automatically reset because of its controlled bleed. For positive shut-off models, equalize the presure on both sides of the valves. The valve will reset...
