Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed specifications and technical data for a liquid level indicator designed for extreme process conditions, including high temperatures, pressures, and corrosive fluids. It highlights the construction, measurement principle, applications, technical data, and options for limit switches and transmitters.
Specifications:
  • Metallic construction with optional plastic rod.
  • Standard material: EN 1.4404 (SS 316L).
  • Measurement range: 300 mm to 6 m.
  • Connections: DN40 DIN flanges, BSP/NPT screwed connections, and sanitary connections.
  • Options include limit switches and electronic or pneumatic transmitters.
Measurement Principle: Based on Archimedes' principle, a rod with similar density to the liquid is suspended by a spring. Changes in liquid level alter the rod's weight, measured by the spring's extension, and transmitted via magnetic coupling.
Applications: Suitable for chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, steam/power, food and beverage industries, and storage of toxic products.
Technical Data:
  • Installation: Vertical, top of the tank or side mounting.
  • Accuracy: +/- 1.5% of measured value.
  • Working pressure: Standard PN16...PN40, max up to PN400.
  • Temperature range: -60ºC to 150ºC, extendable to -120ºC to 400ºC on request.
Limit Switches and Transmitters:
  • Adjustable micro-switches and inductive detectors available.
  • Transmitters include 4-20 mA analog output, HART protocol, and pneumatic options.
  • ATEX certified for hazardous areas.
Materials: Key components made from EN 1.4404 (SS 316L), with options for PVC and PTFE.
Additional Features:
  • Thermal separator for high/low temperature fluids.
  • Stainless steel housing for sanitary or marine environments.
  • Ingress protection: IP67.
Quality Assurance: Certified for ISO 9001, Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/CE, and ATEX Directive 94/9/CE.

Measurement principle According to Archimedes principle of body submerged in a liquid. A rod with a density similar to the measured liquid is suspended by a spring to maintain an equilibrium with its weight. A variation in liquid level produces a change in the weight of the rod (partially submerged), which can be measured by the extension of the spring that supports the rod. The variation of the length of the spring is transmitted to the indicating needle via a magnetic coupling between a magnet on the end of the spring and a magnet fixed to the indicator. This measurement principle is well suited...
