Measurement Principle
The flowmeter uses a sensor to generate a magnetic field in the liquid. As the conductive liquid flows through this field, it generates a voltage proportional to the liquid velocity, which is processed to provide flow rate outputs.

Installation Guidelines
- Requires a straight section of minimum 10DN before and 5DN after the sensor.
- The pipe should always be full; install in a rising section.
- Valves should be mounted after the sensor, and pumps before.

Electronic Control Units
Various models are available for flow indication, control, and output options. The Series MX offers local indication and outputs, while the XT5 series provides advanced features including HART communication.

Flow Rate and Metering Body Selection
The flow rate table provides guidance on selecting the appropriate metering body diameter based on liquid velocity. Recommended working velocities are between 1 and 3 m/s, with adjustments for liquids containing solids.

This accessory allows for the insertion or removal of sensors under pressure and facilitates flow measurement at multiple points in a network without interrupting flow.

Measurement Principle The Flomat electromagnetic insertion flowmeter consists of a sensor which generates a magnetic field in the liquid to be measured. The conductive liquids, as they flow through the magnetic field (5), generate a voltage E6 (6) between the electrodes (3) which is proportional to the liquid velocity (V7).
