OverviewFB-5000 is a float type
level switch designed for installation at the side of a tank or through an external chamber. It uses a float to follow the liquid level, activating an integrated reed switch via magnetic coupling when the liquid reaches a set point. This switch can be used for controlling pumps,
valves, or alarms for safety and automation in various processes.
Features- Compact and durable design
- Magnetic coupling ensures perfect isolation between process and electric compartment
- 316SS liquid wetting parts for high anti-corrosive capability
- High pressure rating
- Easy handling and installation
Model Code
The model code includes options for connection type, enclosure, material, and switch action. Specific codes are provided for different configurations, such as screw or flange connections, watertight or flameproof enclosures, and intrinsically safe options.
Standard Specifications- Measuring object: Liquid with a density of 0.7g/cm3 (special design available for 0.4g/cm3)
- Max operating pressure: 2MPa
- Max liquid temperature: 90°C
- Installation: Standard tank side or optional external chamber
- Switch action: Factory set to close for increase or decrease
- Reset span: Max 6mm (fixed)
- Contact: Reed switch (SPST) with AC 10VA, DC 10W capacity
- Enclosure: Watertight, pressure tight flameproof, or intrinsically safe
- Cable entry: Standard G1/2 thread with optional watertight or flameproof gland
- Material: Float and rod made of SUS316, housing of SCS14, cover of AC2A
Dimensions
Dimensions are provided for different connection types, with specific terminal screw sizes and applicable crimping terminals.
Switch Action- HC: Close for increase
- HO: Open for increase
- LO: Open for decrease
- LC: Close for decrease
Installation Suggestions- Bolt, nut, and gasket provision is the customer's responsibility.
- For tank nozzle installation, the nozzle's inside diameter should exceed 41 mm, aligning with the level switch axis.
- For connections involving lamps, motors, or long cables, surge suppressors or a relay driver are recommended to protect the reed switch contact.
