The MALÅ Professional Explorer (ProEx) System is a modular and versatile Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system designed for advanced professional use. It is recognized as the most adaptable GPR system available, capable of handling a wide range of applications from geological surveys to forensic investigations.
The basic configuration supports two hardware channels with cross-communication capabilities. The system can be expanded to support up to eight antennas using the MALÅ ProEx Expansion Unit. The core of the system is the MALÅ ProEx Control Unit, which ensures efficient data collection regardless of the number of antennas.
The ProEx system is suitable for various applications including road and transportation investigation, utility detection and mapping, borehole investigations, climate research, geological layer detection, forensic investigations, concrete non-destructive testing, civil engineering, archaeology, mining, and more.
The system supports a broad range of antennas from 30 MHz to 2.3 GHz, allowing for scalability from a single basic configuration to a multi-channel system. It maintains a high data acquisition rate regardless of the number of data channels used. The system can be upgraded to a MALÅ MIRA system and can perform various types of measurements such as reflection surveys, tomography, and velocity measurements.
The ProEx system is designed with field use in mind, featuring a rugged housing and an impact-resistant screen. It can be operated using a regular notebook PC or the dedicated MALÅ XV Monitor, which is optimized for field work. The modular design allows for flexible and affordable system configuration, enabling users to invest according to their current needs and expand as requirements change.
