Principle of operation Web distortion in textiles can be determined in several ways. Distortions alter the regular bright-dark patterns in an illuminated moving fabric. The classical approach is to detect this signal modulation with an optical sensor (modulation principle). Apart from this, camera scanning can be used or both principles of function can be combined.
