Product Overview
The TENSA®FINGER Type GF expansion joints by mageba are designed for bridges with heavy traffic and movement ranges from 120 mm to over 1,000 mm. These joints feature steel edge profiles and finger plates that are prestressed by springs to prevent uplift, ensuring durability and reliability.

Design and Functionality
The sliding finger plates act as simply supported beams, transferring traffic loads with minimal moment effect. They are equipped with plastic bearings and high-strength bolts, with sliding pads moving on stainless steel or GRP sheets. The design includes stainless steel springs for constant downward prestressing, preventing damage and ensuring smooth operation even on bridges with high gradients.

Noise Reduction and Surface Profiling
The interlocking finger design minimizes noise by maintaining constant wheel contact, making these joints suitable for noise-sensitive areas. Optional surface patterns enhance vehicle grip, improving safety.

Drainage System
A watertight drainage channel beneath the joint, made from EPDM, soft PVC, or stainless steel, connects to the bridge's drainage system. It features a flexible discharge outlet and can be equipped with a dirt-repellent surface for easy maintenance.

High-quality materials such as S235 steel, polyamide bearings, and stainless steel components are used. Corrosion protection follows ISO 12944 or national standards, ensuring longevity.
