Product catalog summary
Introduction
The TENSA®CRETE Type RE and RE-LS expansion joints are designed for gap widths up to 80 mm and 100 mm respectively. The RE-LS type features noise-reducing sinus plates, achieving up to 80% noise reduction. These joints are anchored in ROBO®FLEX waterproof polymer concrete and are suitable for both new constructions and refurbishments.

Features & Benefits
The joints allow movements in all three axes and rotations without constraints. They are quick to install, with traffic resuming in 4 to 6 hours post-installation. The joints are 100% water-tight and adaptable to various materials and thicknesses.

Area of Application
Primarily used for asphalt and concrete connections, these joints are ideal for retrofitting and replacing worn or damaged joints. Their fast installation reduces traffic congestion.

Product Characteristics
Key characteristics include short setting time, lane-by-lane installation, and resistance to wear and chemicals. The RE-LS type offers significant noise reduction.

Anchoring
No additional reinforcement is needed. The bond between polymer concrete and substructure transmits all loads. A minimum tensile bond strength of 1.5 N/mm² is required.

Installation
Installation involves surface preparation, setting up profiles, laying polymer concrete, and inserting the sealing profile. Qualified personnel must perform these tasks.

Material Properties & Installation
Materials include S 235 grade steel, EPDM sealing profile, and polymer concrete. The ROBO®FLEX polymer concrete has specific compressive and tensile strengths and is corrosion-protected.

Quality & Testing
ROBO®FLEX polymer concrete has been extensively tested, showing durability under heavy traffic conditions. The joints have been proven on numerous bridges worldwide.

Tenders & Quotations
Specifications for tender documents include water-tight expansion joint structures and fatigue strength verification. Quotations require detailed drawings and movement range data.

Consulting
Mageba offers consulting services to assist in choosing optimal solutions for construction projects. Reference lists for TENSA®CRETE joints are available upon request.
