Product catalog summary
Introduction
The MAD4520-x hydrostatic pressure level sensor is designed for monitoring viscous materials and turbulent conditions in tanks. It is part of Madison's Flush Submersible Series and is cost-effective, with UL/cUL913 Class 1 Division 1 IS approval for Groups C and D.

Specifications
  • Performance: Accuracy is less than ±0.25% BFSL, with stability of ±0.25% of FS over one year. It offers over-range protection at 2X rated pressure and burst pressure at 5X or 1,250 PSI.
  • Environmental: Operating temperature ranges from -40°F to 185°F, with storage up to 212°F. It is rated IP-68 and provides EMI/RFI protection.
  • Electrical: Outputs 4-20 mA with an excitation of 10-28 VDC. It includes reverse polarity and lightning protection.
  • Pressure Ranges: Available in ranges from 0-5 to 0-15 PSI, with custom ranges up to 100 PSI.

Design and Materials
The sensor features a compact, non-clogging design with a cage that ensures proper media flow. It is constructed from 316L stainless steel and PVDF, making it suitable for harsh environments.

Applications
Ideal for sewage lift stations, food tanks, grease and lubrication tanks, drilling mud pits, and various oil tanks.

Features
  • Compatible with a wide range of chemicals.
  • Suitable for different water systems and chemicals.
  • Includes EMI/RFI and reverse polarity protection.

Installation and Approvals
Intrinsically safe installations require approved barriers. The sensor is UL and cUL913 listed for Class 1 Div 1 IS, Groups C and D.

Hydrostatic Pressure Level Sensors for Turbulent Tanks-1

PR Series Hydrostatic Pressure Level Sensors for Turbulent Tanks The MAD4520 Flush Submersible Series is the latest addition to Madison’s line of hydrostatic pressure level sensors. It is designed for monitoring viscous material and/or turbulent conditions within a vessel. This cost-effective sensor is approved to UL/cUL913 Class 1 Division 1 IS, Groups C and D, with an approved barrier. There are four pressure ranges available, and the cage design allows for proper media flow while keeping the sensor at the bottom of the vessel or well. MAD4520-x hydrostatic pressure level sensor for turbulent tanks The 316L and PVDF construction will withstand the toughest environments. The MAD4520 is ideal for sewage lift stations, food tanks and viscous media applications. Other typical uses include: grease and lubrication tanks; drilling mud pits; vegetable and animal oil tanks; and storm and industrial holding tanks.
