M Series Adjustable Switch Height Feature Madision Company’s engineered designs can provide a liquid level switch for tank applications with slight changes in the level at which the switch signal is needed, to accommodate multiple tank designs or conditions. In the M4302-7807 and M5602-7808 base models, downward switch height adjustment by the end user can be as much as 2”, and an upward adjustment could be from 9” to 69”. This would allow a series of tanks to use the same level switch configuration and provide easier field adjustments for low level indication. Multi-level indications can also be provided. The adjustment is done by loosening the compression fitting on the top of the 2’’-11.5 NPT pipe plug and moving the entire stem up or down as needed in the application. The M43027807-x series is manufactured with nylon ferrules in the compression fitting. The M5602-7808-x series is supplied with Teflon ferrules in the compression fitting. These types of ferrules allow the end user to adjust the length multiple times. The retaining rings are not to be moved, unless the operation needs to be changed from normally closed to normally open. The picture inset at right shows two approaches where bracket designs can also be used to provide height adjustability in addition to multiple activation points in a single tank.
