Macro's High Speed Unwind-Rewind System provides processors with an efficient means to perform these tasks by combining automation with advanced web handling technologies. The sytem features a fully automatic turret winder and fully automatic turret rewinder. Because they are both designed with two spindles, they can be operated continuously without interruptions caused by roll loading and unloading. Splicing of the unwinding rolls and winder cutovers are handled by the line software to ensure they are synchronized. This allows the system to minimize the amount of scrap generated as the spliced area is always left at the end of rewound rolls for easy removal. In addition to state-of-the-art winding and unwinding equipment, Macro's High Speed Unwind-Rewind System is also equipped with a degassing unit and a chill roll unit to remove trapped gases in tubular films and cool the web following treatment.
