Blown Prestretch Film Lines

Blown Prestretch Film Lines

Product catalog summary
Overview:
Macro's Blown Prestretch Film Lines offer a streamlined process for producing soft prestretched film rolls directly from resin, eliminating waste and the need for reclaim systems. The films are designed for both machine and hand wrapping applications, providing a lightweight and easy-to-handle solution.
Key Features:
  • Single-step production from resin to sellable rolls.
  • No trim, reclaim, or waste generated.
  • Very thin, 2-ply film with enhanced strength due to thicker edges.
  • Compact machine design with low tower height.
  • Film is immediately tacky, requiring no additional conditioning.
Applications:
The films are suitable for machine and hand wrapping, offering a 2-ply structure that ensures load protection even if one ply is defective. The adjustable edge thickness minimizes tearing risks.
Production Process:
Utilizes a patented single-layer blown film method, which is simpler and more cost-effective than traditional cast coextrusion processes. The use of less expensive resins further reduces production costs.
Technical Specifications:
  • Film Thickness: 6-7 microns.
  • Raw Materials: Butene-based LLDPE and LDPE with tackifier.
  • Maximum Output: 150-300 Kg/h depending on the model.
  • Production Speed: Up to 500 m/min.
  • Winder Type: Automatic turret winder for soft rolls.
  • Roll Diameter: Maximum 200 mm.
Models:
  • BPS2: Face Width 1370 mm, Maximum Output 150 Kg/h, 2 rolls.
  • BPS4: Face Width 2100 mm, Maximum Output 300 Kg/h, 4 rolls.
Advantages:
The soft rolls are more resilient, lightweight, and require less force to unwind, reducing potential damage and handling effort.

Blown Prestretch Film Lines-1

Key Features: • Single process from resin to sellable rolls • No trim, no reclaim, no waste • Very thin, 2-ply film with blown film strength • Thicker edges provide additional strength to the film • Small machine footprint and low tower height • The film is immediately tacky Applications: • Machine and hand wrapping applications Macro's BPS line creates soft, lightweight prestretched rolls that are easy to handle and unwind. The rolls are suitable for machine and hand wrapping applications. The film is a 2-ply structure that provides an extra layer of strength; if there is a defect in one ply the other will cover the load. The BPS film is very thin; however, the edges are 40-80% thicker to provide additional strength and minimize the possibility of tearing when wrapping. The edge thickness can be adjusted. The film is immediately tacky without the need for additional conditioning or special storage. Macro's patented process is based on a single-layer blown film method that is much less complicated than typically used cast coextrusion processes. It uses resins that are much less expensive than the octene-based resins used in traditional prestretch film production. The film produced is very thin, only 6-7 microns and is produced with no waste. This combination of very thin film, created with inexpensive resins, and no trim or scrap generates significant savings to the processor. Not only does the processor use less resin, which is also less expensive, there is also no need for costly reclaim and conveying systems to collect trims. The film is wound on a fully automatic turret winder, specifically designed for winding soft rolls. The soft rolls provide the advantage of being more resilient than hard rolls; the edges will not damage if the roll is dropped. The softly wound rolls are also lightweight and require less force to unwind.
