BO BASIC Designed on simple but extremely functional and reliable concepts, it provides an exceptional quality/price ratio when compared with winders with similar features. SIEMENS Torque motors are available as an option for winding speeds exceeding 110 meters per minute. Each BO Basic allows the realization of reels up to a maximum diameter of 950 mm. The peripheral winding is carried out using either 3” or 6” shafts, on a large rubber cylinder and winding pressure control is managed by a dual pneumo-hydraulic system. Basically, the winding starts in peripheral mode on a large diameter cylinder (normally rubber coated with grooves, but for certain applications it may be made with smooth rubber or with chromed, perforated steel, to allow the evacuation of the air). During the winding, the reel slides on horizontal guides, while its weight insists on the vertical axis, and not against the winding cylinder (hence the term weightless winding). The result is a simpler and more precise control of the contact pressure, thus avoiding excessive compaction of the reel, which can create problems during unwinding....
