After a 2.5 year construction period, the Eden project opened in March 2001 and is today a shining example of regenerative and sustainable living. In addition to the futuristic architecture, the Eden project has, amongst other things, a rainforest biome with the world's largest indoor rainforest, and the Mediterranean biome including lemon trees and olive groves - and all this in Cornwall on the south coast of England.
