Grinding Process
The grinding wheel lightly contacts the tooth face, moves into the tooth gullet, and the saw blade is pushed forward by a feed finger to grind the round part of the bottom. The blade continues forward as the wheel retracts to grind the tooth back. The feed finger then slides back to engage the next tooth. The machine uses a cam-controlled horizontal reciprocating motion to create tooth shapes.

Operation
The machine features a cam-controlled grinding head that works in cooperation with the saw blade advance to achieve the preselected tooth shape. A double feed pawl is available to bridge damaged teeth. The rake or face angle is adjusted directly via a scale by swinging the band saw blade holder. Feed speed is adjustable through a frequency converter.
