Nanomold Red is suitable for finishing cold and hot work steels, steel casting materials, and hardened materials with hardness greater than 54 HRC. The coating features a four-layer structure that ensures excellent adhesion and thermal insulation, resulting in extended tool life.

Layer Structure

Bonding Layer: Provides a soft transition from the carbide substrate to the coating, ensuring excellent adhesion.
1st Core Layer: Offers good thermal insulation and low natural stress, contributing to high impact strength.
2nd Core Layer: Provides resistance to abrasive wear, high process reliability, and high red hardness, making it suitable for dry machining or minimal quantity lubrication (MQL).
Top Layer: Reddish shimmering for easy application area recognition, facilitates wear detection, and has a low friction coefficient for flawless surfaces.

Application Examples
Examples include large stamping dies with specific cutting data and tool life metrics. For instance, a large stamping die using the WPR 16 SF LCKP10M insert has a tool life of 9 hours with air cooling, while another using the WPR 16 N LCKP10M insert has a tool life of 40 hours with minimal quantity lubrication.

Performance Data
Graphs indicate the wear mark width in micrometers for different inserts, demonstrating the effectiveness of the Nanomold Red coating in reducing wear.
