Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document discusses the importance of measuring thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity for industrial applications, highlighting the flash method as a prevalent technique. The XFA 600 by LINSEIS is introduced as a cost-effective solution for measuring these properties in a temperature range of -125 to 600°C.

Measurement Technique
The flash method involves irradiating a sample with an energy pulse, causing a temperature rise measured by an IR detector. This technique is non-contact, non-destructive, and provides high accuracy and repeatability. The Xenon Flash technique offers a wide measuring range for thermal conductivity (0.1 to 2000 W/m·K) and thermal diffusivity (0.01 to 1000 mm²/s).

System Features
The XFA 600 system is modular, allowing upgrades in temperature range and detector type. It operates under various atmospheres and can handle multiple sample sizes and geometries. The system is compatible with international standards like ASTM E-1461 and DIN EN 821.

Software Capabilities
The LINSEIS software, compatible with Microsoft Windows, includes modules for temperature control, data acquisition, and evaluation. It supports data security, curve comparison, and multi-method analysis. The software also facilitates automatic measurement procedures and data export to formats like MS Excel.

Technical Specifications
The XFA 600 can accommodate samples of various dimensions and operates in a temperature range of -125 to 600°C. It offers high repeatability and accuracy for thermal diffusivity, specific heat, and thermal conductivity measurements. The system uses a Xenon Flash lamp with adjustable pulse energy and length.

Applications and Performance
The document provides examples of the system's performance with materials like graphite, aluminum, and copper, demonstrating measurement accuracy within 2% of literature values. The system's versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of materials and industrial applications.
