Planeveyor Lifter Catalog

Product catalog summary
Product Overview: The Air-Operated Planeveyor Lifter PVL-S and PVL-T series are designed for efficient handling of workpieces. They offer four ball pitch options (25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm) and come in two types: T-Slot and Square Groove. These lifters utilize pneumatic cylinders to lift workpieces, enabling 360-degree movement.
Specifications: Constructed from aluminum, the lifters feature ball rollers with a spherical design for even load distribution. They provide single-point or four-point mounting and customizable lengths by adjusting the number of balls. The lifting stroke ranges from 3mm to 5.5mm, depending on the model.
Operating Procedure: The lifter is elevated by air pressure and lowered by the weight of the workpiece. A three-way valve is recommended for air release during lowering, and a vacuum generator can be used for forced lowering. The recommended operating pressure range is 0.4MPa to 0.6MPa, with a maximum pressure of 0.9MPa.
Lifting Capacity: The lifting capacity is determined by the number of balls in contact with the workpiece. For instance, the PVL55SL-9 model has a lifting capacity of 676 N per ball at 0.5 MPa. Adjustments can be made by increasing the number of lifters or selecting a different model to handle heavier workpieces.
Selection Guidelines: If the lifting capacity is inadequate, increase the number of units or the operating air pressure. The PVL55SW model features a two-stage piston design for enhanced lifting capacity.
Materials: The main body is made of aluminum, the balls are composed of SUJ2, and the ball retainer is SCM415. The lifters are RoHS compliant and can be mounted in either upward or downward orientations.

◆Selection Guidelines Point Lifting Capacity = Number of Balls in Contact with the Bottom Surface of the Workpiece The Planeveyor Lifter uses a built-in piston for each ball to lift the workpiece. Therefore, the dimensions and weight of the workpiece are extremely important. Workpiece A 6 Balls × 2 Units = 12 Balls Example: Model PVL55SL-9 Lifting Capacity per Ball: 676 N (69 kgf) at 0.5 MPa ◆Workpiece A (Assuming the load is uniformly distributed over the surface) Number of Balls in Contact with the Bottom Surface: 6 Balls × 2 Units = 12 Balls → 8,112 N (828 kgf) ◆Workpiece B (Assuming the load...

RoHS Lifting Capacity (per ball) ■ Dust and other debris adhering to the balls can accumulate inside the ball rollers, causing poor rotation. However, the PVL55SH Series features debris discharge holes and slits at the bottom, allowing debris to be removed by blowing compressed air through the holes using an air gun or similar tool. T-slots for installing the PVL-T Series are commonly found in press machines. The Planeveyor Lifter can be fixed in place or inserted and removed as needed. Since T-slot dimensions vary depending on the machine, actual measurements are required in addition to drawings. We can also customize the lifter height to match the measured T-slot dimensions. Note: Pay particular attention to the slot depth. ◎ Bridging Scrap Discharge Holes Many press machine bolsters have holes for scrap discharge, so if you are considering using an Air-Operated Planeveyor Lifter in such applications, please consult ATEC....
