EN 1.4301 is a common stainless steel grade used for indoor applications and slightly corrosive outdoor environments. It contains approximately 9% nickel and 18% chromium. EN 1.4404 is recommended for coastal and polluted industrial areas, containing 11% nickel, 17% chromium, and 2.7% molybdenum, enhancing its corrosion resistance.
Environmental and Cost Benefits:
Despite high energy consumption in production, stainless steel is environmentally and economically beneficial due to high scrap recovery, reduced need for surface treatment, and extended service life.
Raw Material Specifications:
Ducts and fittings are made from bright annealed stainless steel sheets, adhering to standards EN & DIN 1.4301 and EN & DIN 1.4404, known for their bright, aesthetically pleasing finish.
Circular Duct System:
Part of the Lindab Safe range, this system features a double EPDM rubber seal for enhanced durability. Standard dimensions include a turned-over edge for structural stability. Silicone seal mouldings are available for substances incompatible with EPDM.
Rectangular Duct System:
Part of the LindabRekt range, this system includes rectangular ducts and fittings, conforming to SS-EN 1505 standards. It is reinforced for stability and torsional rigidity.
