E.g. for 3-layer board production, production of yard sticks and in parquet industry for the production of cover and middle layers. Depending on the applied saw blade set the reduction of the cutting width by a few tenth already results in an additional lamella and thus increases the wood yield. Hence, nowadays up to 5 cover layers can be produced in a process-stable way from one inch thick wood friezes. The high-quality production of the thin-kerf saw blade prevents the saw blade from wobbling. Thus, even the top lamella can be used without extra time and effort for grinding.
