Innerhalb der Faltenbalgvarianten nehmen die Weich-PVC-Faltenbälge eine Sonderstellung ein. Normalerweise bieten Faltenbälge sehr flexible Konstruktionsmöglichkeiten in Bezug auf Material, Abmessungen, Form und sind trotzdem auch in Kleinmengen wirtschaftlich zu fertigen. Die Weich-PVC-Faltenbälge hingegen sind Formteile, d.h. es muss eine Mindeststückzahl oder entsprechende Form vorliegen, um eine wirtschaftliche Fertigung zu rechtfertigen.
