Product catalog summary
Overview
The Linux Software Development Kit (SDK) is designed to facilitate application development on Leroy Automation's hardware platforms, including LT200, ACS, and RIOM. It features a compact implementation of the GNU/Linux operating system based on the 2.6 Linux kernel, optimized for these platforms and pre-loaded into embedded Flash.
Features
  • Linux kernel version 2.6.12.
  • Complete GNU tool chain including ARM C/C++ cross-compiler (GCC), Remote Debugger (GDB), and GNU C/C++ standard libraries.
  • Journaling Flash File System (JFFS2) for high reliability and power interruption recovery, providing approximately 6 MB of onboard Flash disk space.
  • Linux device drivers for peripherals such as I/O boards, serial links, and memories.
  • System utilities, DHCP client, web server (supporting static and dynamic HTML pages via CGI), FTP server, SNMP agent (V1, V2C, V3), TELNET server, Modbus TCP protocol (master and slave), and asynchronous Modbus protocol (master and slave).
Requirements
  • The SDK can be installed on any Linux distribution with standard services like DHCP server, Network File System Server (NFS), and TFTP server.
  • The GNU tool chain can be integrated with the ECLIPSE platform and CDT plugin to form a complete Integrated Development Environment (IDE) at no cost.
Supplied Hardware
  • All hardware platforms are based on the Marvell PXA255 @ 400 MHz, with 32 MB SDRAM, 16 MB Flash, and a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet Controller (LAN91C111).
Supplied Software on CD-ROM
  • Includes a full SDK installation utility, a comprehensive manual for configuration, hardware technical manual, documentation for device drivers, libraries, and system utilities, "Quickstart" guides, application examples, and source code for all features.
Development Model
  • Use ECLIPSE to edit, compile, and remotely debug applications on the hardware platform via Ethernet connection.
  • Download the final application to the hardware platform using FTP.
  • Customize startup scripts to automatically launch applications at system startup.
