Design Specifications: The
wind turbine models have rated powers of 2,000 kW, 2,500 kW, and 3,000 kW. The hub height varies between 80 to 95 meters, and the tower is made of steel. The turbines operate with a cut-in wind speed of 3 m/s and a cut-out wind speed of 25 m/s. The yaw control system is active and electrical, suitable for wind classes IIA/IIIA+.
Rotor Details:
Each turbine has three blades with a rotor diameter of 100.9 meters, covering a swept area of 7,996 m². The rotational speed is variable, with a tip speed of 76 m/s. The blades are made from GFRP-UP, and the power and rotor speed are controlled by an active pitch control system.
Generator Specifications:
The turbines use a Permanent Magnet Direct Drive Synchronous Machine with modular coils and tooth concentrated winding. The rotor features modular permanent magnets with flux concentration. The speed range is variable, and the protection class is IP55.
Control & Safety Systems:
The main brake is aerodynamic with independent pitch control, and the service brake is electrical. A hydraulic rotor lock is included, and remote control is managed via Leitwind SCADA.
Power Electronics:
The converter is a 4Q full power, 3-phase IGBT type, with a rated voltage of 690 V ±10% and frequency of 50-60 Hz ±5%. It supports a power factor range of 0.95 ind - 1 - 0.95 cap for reactive power compensation and grid voltage control. The system is water-cooled and complies with major grid codes, including CEI 0-16, TERNA, and e-on, with power quality measurements according to IEC 61400-21 and emission limits per IEC 61800-3.
Power Curve:
The power output varies with wind speed, reaching maximum rated power at 15 m/s and maintaining it up to 25 m/s. For example, at 10 m/s, the power outputs are 1,727 kW, 1,875 kW, and 1,914 kW for the 2,000 kW, 2,500 kW, and 3,000 kW models, respectively.
