Specifications: The
wind turbine has a rated power of 2,000 kW with a hub height of 60 meters. It features a steel tower and operates with an active, electrical yaw control system. The turbine is designed for Wind Class IA conditions.
Rotor: The rotor consists of 3 blades with a diameter of 70.1 meters, covering a swept area of 3,859 m². It operates at a rotational speed of 20.8 rpm, with a tip speed of 76 m/s. The blades are made from GFRP-UP material, and the turbine uses active pitch control for power and rotor speed management.
Generator: The generator is a Permanent Magnet Direct Drive Synchronous Machine with modular coils and tooth concentrated winding. It features a modular permanent magnet rotor topology and operates as a variable low-speed machine with a protection class of IP55.
Power Curve: The turbine starts generating power at a cut-in wind speed of 3 m/s and reaches its rated power of 2,000 kW at 16 m/s. It continues to produce this power up to a cut-out wind speed of 25 m/s.
Control & Safety System: The main brake is aerodynamic with independent pitch control, complemented by an electrical service brake and a hydraulic rotor lock. Remote control is facilitated through Leitwind's SCADA system.
Power Electronics: The turbine uses a 4Q full power 3-phase IGBT converter with a rated voltage of 690 V ±10% and a frequency of 50-60 Hz ±5%. It supports a power factor range of 0.95 ind - 1 - 0.95 cap for reactive power compensation and grid voltage control. The system is water-cooled and complies with major grid codes, including CEI 0-16, TERNA, and e-on, as well as IEC 61400-21 and IEC 61800-3 standards.
