General Overview
The Leica BLK360 is a 3D imaging scanner equipped with an integrated spherical imaging system and a thermography panorama sensor system. It is designed for capturing reality in 3D with high precision.

Design & Physical Specifications
The scanner features a black anodized aluminum housing, with dimensions of 165 mm in height and 100 mm in diameter, weighing 1 kg. It includes a transport cover with an integrated floor stand and a button-press quick release mounting mechanism.

Operation
The BLK360 can operate stand-alone with one-button operation or remotely via an iPad app compatible with Apple iPad Pro® 12.9”/iOS 10 or later. It supports wireless communication through an integrated wireless LAN (802.11 b/g/n) and has internal memory for storing over 100 setups. The instrument can be oriented both upright and upside down.

Power
It uses an internal, rechargeable Li-Ion battery (Leica GEB212) with a capacity typically supporting more than 40 setups.

Scanning Capabilities
The scanner employs a high-speed time of flight distance measurement system enhanced by Waveform Digitizing (WFD) technology. It operates with a laser class 1, a wavelength of 830 nm, and a field of view of 360° horizontally and 300° vertically. The range is from 0.6 to 60 meters, with a point measurement rate of up to 360,000 points per second. Ranging accuracy is 4mm at 10m and 7mm at 20m, with three user-selectable resolution settings.

Imaging Features
The camera system includes a 15 Mpixel 3-camera system capable of 150Mpx full dome capture, HDR, and LED flash, providing a calibrated spherical image of 360° x 300°. It also features a thermal camera based on FLIR technology, offering a thermal panoramic image of 360° x 70°.

Performance
The device completes a full dome scan, spherical image, and thermal image in less than 3 minutes. The 3D point accuracy is 6mm at 10m and 8mm at 20m.

Environmental Specifications
The BLK360 is robustly designed for both indoor and outdoor use, with an operating temperature range of +5 to +40°C. It has an IP54 rating for dust and humidity protection.

Data Acquisition
The scanner supports live image and scanned data streaming, live data viewing and editing, and automatic tilt measurements.
