Overview: The MARC805 is a magnetic single-turn absolute
rotary encoder that operates on the Hall Effect principle. It converts rotary motion into electrical signals, providing positional information for digital control systems or electric motor drivers.
Mechanical Data and Working Conditions: The encoder features a synchro flange with a 6 mm external shaft diameter. It supports a maximum rotational speed of 10,000 min-1 and an angular acceleration of 40,000 rad.s-2. The moment of inertia is 5 g.cm2 ± 10%. It can withstand vibrations up to 10 gn and shocks up to 50 gn. The axial and radial shaft loads are 10 N and 20 N, respectively. The working temperature range is -25˚ to +80˚C, with a relative humidity of up to 95%. The encoder is protected to IP64 standards and weighs approximately 0.10 kg.
Electrical Specifications: The encoder provides 12-bit resolution (4096 positions per rotation) and operates at a supply voltage of +5 V ± 5% with a maximum current of 50 mA. Output signals are provided via Serial SSI with single TTL CLOCK/DATA signals in gray code.
Output Signals: The encoder outputs 12-bit gray code signals through Serial SSI. The clock period ranges from 250 µs to 2xTm, with clock high and low times of 25 µs each. The monoflop time is between 16 and 20.5 µs.
Connection and Assembly: The encoder is mounted using a synchro groove, with centering determined by a 19f7 diameter fit. It is crucial to avoid exceeding the maximum radial or axial shaft loads and to maintain alignment. Homokinetic diaphragm couplings are recommended for optimal performance.
