FD-E (GA) Burners

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Lanemark FD-E (GA) series burners are designed for cost-effective, high turn-down control in process air heating applications such as convection ovens, dryers, and spray booths. These burners prioritize combustion efficiency and low emissions.
Specifications: The burners are available in various models with heat input ranges from 9-880 kW (30,000-3,000,000 Btu/h). They utilize 'air pressure lead' (APL) monobloc gas valve technology for maintaining safe and efficient gas/air ratios. The burners conform to European Standards EN 676 and EN 746.
Control and Safety Features: The system includes a burner windbox, combustion air fan, motorized air butterfly damper, and a compact monobloc air/gas regulator valve. Standard control items include a burner controller, ignition transformer, and differential air pressure switch. Safety checks are performed by two 3-way air valves.
Fuel and Electrical Options: The burners can operate on natural gas or propane, with control voltages of 230V or 110V. The combustion air fan electrical supplies are 400V/3ph/50Hz or 230V/1ph/50Hz. Flame sensing options include a flame electrode or UV scanner.
Applications: Typical applications include product finishing, textile and fabric dryers, rotary molding machines, food processing, and powder and grain dryers.
Additional Products: Lanemark also offers the TX and TRX series for heating process liquids, achieving efficiencies of 80%+. The BurnerCare support service provides commissioning, spare parts, training, and maintenance plans.
Dimensions and Performance: Detailed dimensions are provided for each model, with all measurements in mm. The document includes mounting details and service clearance requirements.

FD-E (GA) Burners-1

Lanemark FD-E (GA) series packaged burners offer lowcost, high turn-down (gas and air) control for process air heating applications in convection ovens, dryers and spray booths where maximum combustion efficiency and minimum emissions are of prime importance.FD-E (GA) series burners are particularly suited todirect-fired applications and can be mounted directlyon to the wall of a dryer, oven or process air heating duct to operate either in line with or at 90˚to the process air flow.FD-E (GA) burners utilise the latest air pressure leadђ(APL) monobloc gas valve technology. The drive motorof the combustion air damper interfaces directly withexternal plant temperature control equipment.Movement of the combustion air damper increases ordecreases the burner windbox differential air pressureand these pressure changes are transmitted to themaster gas control valve, simultaneously adjusting the gas flow rate. This ensures that safe and efficientgas/air ratios are maintained at all times, evenunder variable plant operating conditions. Two main advantages of this control method result:1. Alternative fixed gas/air valve linkage controlarrangements are not capable of making these gas flow adjustments in direct response to changingplant conditions.2. There are no mechanical linkages between the gasand combustion air control valves/dampers. On process plants mechanical linkages are prone tomoving out of adjustmentђ or in extreme casesstickingђ which can lead to potentially dangerouscombustion conditions. > DATA FD5-E (GA)9 -220 kW(30,000 - 750,000 Btu/h) FD10-E (GA)13 -352 kW(45,000 - 1,200,000 Btu/h) FD15-E (GA)18 - 660 kW(60,000 - 2,250,000 Btu/h)FD20-E (GA)22 - 880 kW(75,000 - 3,000,000 Btu/h) Burner turn-down is determined by the ratio of the high and lowgas firing rates. The standard FD-E (GA) burner comprises a burnerwindbox, combustion air fan, a motorised air butterfly damper fitted between the combustion air fan and the airentry flange on the burner windbox, a compact monoblocair/gas regulator valve gas train and gas burner controls mounted on a control plate.Standard control items include a burner controller, ignitiontransformer and differential air pressure switch. Two 3-way air valves perform safety checks on the air pressure switch inboth open and closed modes each time the burner fires, allowing the independent operation of the combustion air fan in conjunction with oven/dryer main recirculation fans. > Fuels Natural gas Propane Control voltages 230V 110V Combustion air fan electrical supplies 400V/3ph/50Hz 230V/1ph/50Hz Flame sensing Flame electrode UV scanner Heat output control options High/low Modulating (gas and air)3 wire valve positioning 4 - 20mA(24/110/230V) 0 - 10V DC >
