Laird Technologies Web site: www.LairdTech.com Item # AC4486-5M, AC4486 - 868MHz Radio Module AC4486 - 868MHz Radio Module • Small form factor: 1.65 x 1.9 inches. • Highest data rate available in a 868 MHz radio: Up to 115.2 Kbps. • (1) A/D input line; (1) D/A output line. • 3 V or 5 V compatible. • Lowest cost complete 868 MHz transceiver: Less than $30 at 10 k. Compact 868 MHz transceivers can replace miles of cable in harsh environments. Using field-proven RF technology which needs no additional ETSI (Europe) licensing, OEMs with little or no previous RF experience can easily and quickly make existing systems wireless. AC4486s feature drop-in installation and a number of on-the-fly control commands, providing OEMs with a versatile interface. They can be used as direct wire replacements, requiring no special host software for communication. All synchronization, and RF system data transmission/reception is performed by the transceiver. The modules are socket-compatible with AeroComm's 900 MHz AC4490 modules and 2.4 GHz AC4424 models to allow for interchanging the network's frequency. This preserves OEMs' hardware/software investments while providing solutions that meet different markets, regulatory and environment needs. · SPECIFICATIONS · PERFORMANCE · RADIO FREQUENCY · ENVIRONMENTAL · PHYSICAL · CERTIFICATION · NOTE · APPLICATIONS · FLEXIBLE RF PROTOCOL · PROTOCOL FEATURES SPECIFICATIONS Manufacturer Laird Technologies Antenna MMCX Antenna 6/22/2011 | Page 1 of 3
