Principle Mount the preconditioned specimen between the testing cells and clamp tightly. Nitrogen with constant humidity flows in one side of specimen; dry nitrogen flows in another side of the specimen. Owing to the humidity difference, water vapor passes through the specimen from higher humidity side and enters the lower humidity side, and is carried to the sensor by the dry nitrogen. The electrical signals are generated; water vapor transmission rate and other parameters can be obtained by analyzing the electrical signals. For packages, dry nitrogen flows in the packages, high humidity nitrogen flows around the outer side of the package.
