Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR) Tester Providing a barrier to water vapor at both normal and elevated room temperature and relative humidity is an essential component for any sort of drug and food packaging. Various test methods can be used to measure water vapor transmission rate, Cup method, Electrolytic sensor method, infrared sensor method and Humidity detection method. Labthink W3/060 water vapor transmission rate tester is based on cup method according to ASTM E96. Using this water vapor transmission rate tester, it is conducted by putting the sample, which is mounted over a cup of distilled water, in a controlled humidity chamber and measuring the change in weight over a period of time. It is measured in g/m2/24 hr. Labthink W3/060 water vapor transmission rate tester has the following unique features: Six independent testing cells in one instrument It can test six different specimens simultaneously with independent testing results, which increase the efficiency highly.
