i-Pendum 5200 Pendulum Impact Tester--Film Test Scope i-Pendum 5200 Pendulum Impact Tester is applicable to the determination of impact resistance properties of plastic films, sheets, composite films and aluminum foils etc. Test Procedures A: Prepare test specimen according to specific standards. The test specimen should be free of air bubbles, creases or other visible imperfections. The dimension of test specimen should be 100 mm× 100 mm.

B: Select test method. For method A, the size of impact head is Φ 25.4mm and the diameter of clamp inner circle is 60 mm. For method B, its impact head is Φ 19mm, while clamp inner circle is Φ 89mm. The impact head and sample grips should be selected according to different testing method. The side with O-ring should face up when replacing the lower sample grips. The test specimen is clamped pneumatically so it is necessary to check the gas supply before each test.

D: Set test parameters and clamp the specimen for trial test. Select proper test range. The specimen should be clamped tightly so that it would not slip or suffer too much tension. Release the pendulum and make sure the impact energy is within 20%-80% of the upper limit of test range. Otherwise it is necessary to add or change auxiliary weights. It is recommended to level instrument and calibrate pendulum balance when changing auxiliary weights.
