i-OXTRA 7700 Oxygen Transmission Rate Testing System ---Package Test Scope i-OXTRA 7700 Oxygen Transmission Rate Testing System is designed to determine the oxygen transmission rate of plastic films, composite films, sheets, high barrier materials, solar back sheets, aluminum foils, aluminized film, coextruded film and bottles, cans and boxes made of plastics, rubber, glass, paper and other metal materials. Test Procedures A: Remove the remaining adhesives on the surface of package test plate and clean it with ethanol cotton ball. Invert the package specimen and place it on the upper surface of the test plate with the gas inlet and outlet into the package. Fix the specimen on the surface of test plate with prepared Araldite Rapid Transparent adhesive. Wait for 60 minutes in room temperature until the adhesives become solidified.

B: Mount the package specimen on the integrated inner test chamber and fix the screws with spanner. C: Cover the package specimen with a plastic bag and tie the mouth of the plastic bag to the mouth of the package. Meanwhile oxygen is led into the plastic bag through the oxygen outlet of inner chamber and the exhaust oxygen would be released through the oxygen outlet of the plastic bag. Use adhesives to seal the space between PU tubing and the plastic bag and close the door of thermal container. D: Check the tubing connection. Turn the stop valve to “ON” position and adjust the pressure regulator until the output pressure gauge indicates 0.15 MPa.

E: Set up test parameters. Select specimen type “Package” and start the test. F: Observe the flow of each test cell in process of testing. The flow of Cell A, B, C and Zero should be 10± ml/min and the 1 flow of oxygen should be 60± ml/min. Otherwise the flow should be adjusted by turning the valves in clockwise or 10 counterclockwise direction. Turn in clockwise direction to decrease the flow, while counterclockwise direction to increase the flow. The flow rate of oxygen would not be displayed in test interface.
