Introduction
Labotek A/S, a Danish family-owned company founded in 1943, is a leading supplier of energy-efficient solutions. In collaboration with battenfeld-cincinnati GmbH, Labotek has developed a new drying technology utilizing Efficient Air Cooling (EAC) hot air from the extrusion process. This system is designed for extrusion lines using EAC technology.

System Design
The EAC Drying System employs a dual-zone principle with a drying hopper divided into two chambers. The upper zone uses hot air from the EAC system, temperature-controlled by Labotek, to ensure proper drying. The lower zone uses a desiccant drying system to achieve the required final residual moisture conditions. The design prevents air exchange between the zones.

Delivery Programme
Labotek offers three standard drying systems for HD-PE with capacities of 1500, 2000, and 2500 kg/h. The systems provide significant energy savings, with a 1500 kg/h system using only 11 kW compared to 91 kW for traditional systems, resulting in an 88% energy saving. These savings ensure a rapid return on investment.

Additional Information
Labotek provides a 3-year warranty on their systems, excluding wear parts. Energy consumption figures are based on Labotek's dimensioning software for HDPE with specific parameters.
