MOVEMENT DAMPING Silicone-based movement damping Movement made entirely of stainless steel Pressure measurement applications, where strong or rapid pressure fluctuations or vibrations occur, require damping of the mechanical display, otherwise a meaningful reading is not possible. Besides the solution of completely filling the housing, LABOM now has another option in its product range: a special stainless steel pointer with axial damping (marked in red on the image) creates a damping effect on the spring-assisted measuring system using a silicone brake, thus allowing for easy reading. This axial damping is available for all mechanical pressure measurement devices of the type series BA4, BE4, BH4 (also for the S3 safety housing) as well as for the pressure switches, type series BN4 and BP4, for a small additional charge. A silicone-free and oil and grease-free option, e.g. for oxygen applications, are already in the planning stage.
