Automatic Pressure Sensitive Labeling’sFlexibility Lowers Operating Costs and Increases Productivity

Product catalog summary
Introduction
Automatic pressure-sensitive labeling systems offer significant advantages over manual or semi-automatic methods, particularly in terms of reducing operating costs and increasing productivity. Despite their benefits, many companies are not utilizing these systems to their full potential.

Increase Throughput
Automatic labeling systems significantly enhance throughput compared to manual methods. They allow companies to meet increasing market demands without additional labor costs. These systems can be configured for zero downtime, ensuring continuous operation by automatically switching between applicators when one runs out of labels.

Streamline Changeovers
Automatic systems facilitate quick product changeovers with tool-less adjustments and extensive memory capacity, reducing costs and downtime associated with manual labeling.

Application-Specific Challenges
These systems can be tailored to meet specific labeling challenges, such as applying multiple labels from a single roll or orienting labels correctly on packages. This flexibility allows companies to use existing label stock, avoiding additional costs.

Customize Labeling Solutions
Companies can work with manufacturers to develop custom solutions that meet specific needs, such as unique packaging styles or promotional labels, while reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

Conclusion
Automatic pressure-sensitive labeling systems provide a flexible, cost-effective solution for companies looking to improve their labeling processes and meet specific application needs.

Reordering new labels to work with a standard front/back labeling system (two applicators, one for the front-and the other applicator for the back labels)would have cost the customer close to six figures. The solution was to implement a labeling system with a single head and a vacuum wrap belt. As the product sensor detects a bottle on the conveyor, properly-spaced front andback labels are dispensed onto the vacuum wrap belt and applied to the spinning bottles accurately to within +/-1/32" (.8 mm) maintaining properorientation. The result was accurately labeled bottles at speeds of up to 60 products...
