Production savings and improved performance Previously, IdealCombi used conventional HSS tooling for the finger jointing process, completing around 12,000 linear metres before having to regrind the tools. By changing to C5-coated finger jointing tools, IdealCombi has increased tool life by more than four times. The financial saving per linear metre is approx. 62%. Overall, the annual cost saving amounts to approx. € 16,000
