General Information The Jetfilter is an alternative to central dust collectors for venting of gravimetric feeders by filtering the dust during refill, venting clean air to the environment and returning the dust to the process. The JetFilter has the following main components: A cylindrical stainless steel body with an internal filter cartridge, a compressed air tank, solenoid valve and clamping rings. The JefFilter is a low maintenance filter for dusty air that is displaced during the refill cycle of gravimetric feeders. The displaced air is filtered through a compact pleated cartridge with a large effective area. This allows for very efficient dust removal with a low pressure drop. The clean filtered air is vented to the environment. After each refill cycle, the filter is cleaned by a jet of compressed air and the dusty ingredient is returned to the process without product loss. Depending on the ingredient, flow velocity and the air volume to be filtered, two filters may be used parallel. When used for loss-in-weight feeders, the filters are cleaned at the end of the feeder refill cycle during the material stabilization time minimizing disruptioin of the gravimetric cycle. The ingredient contact parts are made of stainless steel 1.4301 (304) and the filter media complies with FDA and GMP regulations. All filters meet CE directives.
