The tanks should be equipped with vent pipes having twice or at least the same nominal diameter as the inlet pipes. When pumping liquids with a temperature above 70 .C, a minimum head of 8metres (pressure gauge reading)must be ensured to avoid cavitation and thus premature wear on the bearings.
