ACTO 25 to 12500

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document details the specifications and features of the ACTO series double-acting hydraulic actuators, designed for operating ¼ turn valves such as butterfly and ball valves. Models range from ACTO 25 to ACTO 12500, each using different kinematics for torque generation.
Specifications:
  • Models and Kinematics: ACTO 25, 50, 100, 200 use rack and pinion kinematics; ACTO 400, 800, 1600 use scotch-yoke kinematics; ACTO 3200, 6400, 12500 use rod and crank kinematics.
  • Output Torque: Up to 150,000 Nm, with specific torque values for each model at various oil pressures.
  • Protection: IP 67 for standard models, IP 68 for submersible versions.
  • Coating: Anti-corrosion coatings with specific thicknesses and colors for standard and submersible versions.
  • Temperature Range: Standard range from -20°C to +80°C, with variants available up to +120°C.
Applications: Suitable for all market sectors, particularly for operating ¼ turn valves.
Construction and Materials: Detailed construction materials are provided for each actuator model, highlighting the use of stainless steel, ductile iron, and other durable materials.
Mounting and Adaptation: Actuators are designed to fit directly onto valves compliant with ISO 5211 standards, with options for adaptation to other valve types.
Operation: Describes the operation mechanisms for each kinematic type, emphasizing the development of constant or variable torque suited to different valve operations.
Options and Accessories: Includes declutchable manual override and emergency control by hydraulic hand pump, with adjustable travel stops and purging capabilities.
Dimensions and Weight: Detailed dimensions and weights are provided for each actuator model, facilitating integration into various systems.
Submersible Actuators Coating: Submersible actuators are protected with an anti-corrosion primary coating using cataphoresis, with a thickness of 15-25 µm, followed by a bituminous epoxy paint finish, 80-100 µm thick, in black. This protection is tested for saline fog resistance according to the NFX 41-002 standard. Additional coatings can be customized upon request.
Cataphoresis Primer Characteristics: The cataphoretic paint is an aqueous solution acting as an electrolyte, forming a uniform protective layer. It provides excellent corrosion resistance, chemical inertness, solvent resistance, and mechanical properties, with a thickness of 15-25 µm.
Oil Characteristics: Mineral oil used is biodegradable, non-flammable, with viscosity ranging from 10 to 100 cst. Cleanliness class is 9 according to NAS 1638, equivalent to class 18/15 in ISO 4408. Filtration is recommended.
Hydraulic Connections: Standard versions have direct connections with varying port sizes depending on the actuator model. Optional distribution plates with isolating and piloted check valves are available for enhanced control. Emergency shut down (ESD) blocks allow for emergency valve closure using an oil accumulator.
AMTRONIC PowerPack System: This system includes a hydraulic pump, oil tank, and position feedback, allowing remote operation without a central PowerPack. It can be connected via tubes for remote applications.
Manual Override Options: Manual override is available with a declutchable gear box, suitable for use when air pressure is absent in the actuator. The construction includes grey cast iron housing and stainless steel components, with protection against dust and water (IP 65).
Emergency Control: An emergency control system using a hand pump and hydraulic distributor is available, which can be fixed or portable.
