BAG FILTER/STRAINER (COMBINATION MODEL) G2" – G4 or DN 50 – 100 filter@krone-filter.com www.krone-filter.com Applications The KBF filter is used for the filtration of liquid media in industrial applications. Alternatively the filter can be fitted with bags or a strainer insert with ss mesh. Commissioning / operating instructions Brief description and operation Series 122 bag filters are available as side-inlet (see Fig. 1 -3) in C-steel or in a stainless steel version. The filter consists of a filter vessel, height adjustable frame (feet), strainer support, down-holding device, filter bag and cover. The medium enters the filter housing through the side inlet and flows through the filter bag that is reinforced by a strainer support, from inside to outside. In addition to the recess and the down-holding device, the strainer support ensures that the filter bag is properly seated. 1 Open the vent in the cover until liquid escapes 2 Close vent 3 Filter is ready for operation Inlet Inlet Differentialpressure pressure Differential gauge connections manometer Connections Strainer support Supporting cage (perforated plate) Installation The filter is installed in pipes by means of threads or flanges. Ensure that the filter is installed in a mechanically stress-free manner without additional loads. The medium to be filtered must in principle enter the filter vessel through the upper flange. Incorrect installation can cause filter malfunctions and damage the filter cartridge. Outlet (also possible to the side) Outlet (may also be on side) Attention: Since this is a pressure vessel, make absolutely sure that the filter is depressurized before starting maintenance tasks. Comply with the safety and accident prevention guidelines required for the medium. Cleaning Prior to changing we recommend emptying the filter vessel. After opening the venting device, then loosening the filter catch, the cover can be lifted off, the down-holding device can be pulled out and the filter bag can be removed for disposal. When reassembling the filter check the cover seal for wear and replace it if necessary. 01 01/2014 © by Krone Filter Solutions GmbH, subject to chan
