Exact flow measurement from 10% pipe fill level TIDALFLUX 2300 – Electromagnetic flowmeter with integrated non-contact level measurement and conductivity measurement The TIDALFLUX 2300 was developed especially for use in partially filled pipes. The meter is the ideal solution for flow measurement of municipal, industrial wastewater or stormwater in pressureless transport lines. It is also suitable for measurement of effluent brine from dredging, mining or sea/well water injection applications. Unlike open channel systems (Venturi, V-notches etc.) the TIDALFLUX 2300 is a closed measuring solution without obstructions and with a much better accuracy at lower total costs of ownership. TIDALFLUX 2300 measures reliably with fill levels between 10 % and 100 % of the inner diameter. The level sensors are integrated in the liner and therefore not in contact with the liquid and insensitive against fat and oil floating on the surface. Ex approvals to ATEX and IECex Zone 1 are available as an option.
Open the catalog to page 1Measurement principle The flow velocity v is measured based on the electromagnetic flow measurement principle. The filling level h is determined using capacitive non-wetted level sensors. The filled flow cross section A is determined using on filling level h. Wetted velocity measurement The flow rate Qv is calculated by the IFC 300 PF converter based on the flow velocity v and the cross section A. The TIDALFLUX 2300 sensor is equipped with 2 hastelloy electrodes located at 10 % above the bottom of the pipe. Since the electrodes are covered with water most of the time there is virtually no risk...
