Product catalog summary
Introduction to WACOSIT® Plastic Profiles & Tubes
WACOSIT® offers a range of fibre-reinforced pultrusion and filament profiles known for their mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties. These profiles are resistant to corrosion, moisture, and various chemicals, featuring a smooth surface and dimensional accuracy.

Manufacturing Capabilities
WACOSIT® provides over 5000 pultruded profiles and 500 wound components, customizable to specific requirements. The pultrusion method involves reinforcing fibres impregnated with synthetic resins, cured in a heated mould. Materials include glass, carbon, and aramide fibres, with matrix systems of polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins.

Design and Customization
WACOSIT® profiles can be tailored for specific applications, such as weather resistance or flame retardancy. They can be produced in any length, limited only by transportation needs. Profiles are available in various shapes, including wedge, dogbone, T-profile, round, semicircular, tubular, corner, U-profile, rectangular, trapezoidal, and elbow profiles.

Technical Specifications
Standard tolerances and dimensions are provided for pultruding and filament winding processes. Maximum component sizes, cross-section areas, and wall thicknesses are specified, with tolerances for dimensions and fibre angles.

Applications
WACOSIT® profiles are used in electrical engineering, mechanical and plant construction, sports, automotive, transport, structural engineering, and the cable industry. They can be machined, turned, drilled, and processed with hard-metal or diamond-tipped tools.

Physical and Electrical Characteristics
The mechanical strength and modulus of elasticity depend on the reinforcing fibre, while thermal and chemical resistance depend on the matrix. WACOSIT® profiles can be enhanced with fabric tape and glass matting for better compressive strength.

Global Presence
KREMPEL GmbH, the parent company, has a global distribution network with plants in Germany, the UK, China, and the USA, and representation in numerous countries worldwide.

WACOSIT® gives your ideas profile. Perfectly shaped and cost-effective. Under the designation WACOSIT® we supply fibre-reinforced pultrusion and filament profiles with many advantages given by these: WACOSIT® has good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties and is resistant to corrosion, moisture, as well as to many chemicals. WACOSIT® is characterised by a very smooth surface and repro-ducible dimensional accuracy. Generally there is no further mechanical processing or finishing necessary. WACOSIT® can be produced in any arbitrary length – the length is only limited by the requirements...

WACOSIT® can be processed further without any difficulty. This is because the profiles are washed, trovalised and, if requested, processed for ready-to-use by the customer. The product is thus completely dust-free. Parts to be adhesivebonded can be supplied with an additional “peel-off fabric” – this cuts out the work of having to grind down or roughen the surfaces to be bonded. Special profiles with extreme dimensions In the fibre composite, the mechanical strength and the modulus of elasticity are determined by the reinforcing fibre used whereas the thermal behaviour, abrasion resistance and...
