The ARM600 M2M Gateway is a communication server that manages ARG600 cellular gateways. It primarily functions as a VPN concentrator and firewall for up to 3000 devices. These devices are managed and monitored by a software application built into the ARM600 called Arctic patrol. The ARM600 also provides static IP addressing for the central control and monitoring system. This means that the ARG600 cellular gateways in remote locations can utilize normal SIM cards with dynamic IP addresses from any operator. This allows the user to utilize different operators depending on the coverage and pricing. Both standard (public) and private APN type SIM cards can be used in this communication system. M2M Gateway ARM600 is typically part of a complete communication system which consists of ARG600 cellular gateways and a central Arctic M2M Gateway ARM600 communication server.
