Vehicle Control Unit - VCU is the vehicle main control system responsible for: • control • measuring • sequencing • protection • supervision • communication tasks in the whole vehicle. VCU is based on proprietary hardware and software solutions with the following characteristics. • completely redundant configuration - 2 channels • communication with all distributed intelligent units in the vehicle through the main CAN communication channel • additional CAN channel for communication with main drives • communication with man-machine interface unit in the cab • supports remote diagnostic function • programming language, based on block-diagrams, facilitates the development of vehicle application program
